1. Apples

Honey is a powerful natural remedy for anemia. Make a mixture of one tablespoon of honey, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar.

3. Beets

Note: tea, coffee, cocoa and should not be consumed with meals in patients with iron deficiency anemia. Polyphenols in these beverages inhibit the absorption of non-heme iron. The black tea seems to be the most potent in this regard.
