5 easy and effective home remedies to help you get rid of annoying dark circles

Do you have dark circles? Don't worry … you're not alone! Dark circles are one of the most common skin problems that affect women. But why do we get dark circles to start?

Well, from hereditary factors and nutritional deficiencies to stress and insufficiency, there are many reasons why dark circles appear in our lives. Basically, along with home remedies, a well-balanced diet that includes fresh fruits, salads, sprouts, unprocessed cereals, yogurt, skim milk, cottage cheese (paneer), dal, green leafy vegetables, eggs and fish is essential.

Now, let's look at some home remedies that can minimize dark circles, brighten the eyes and reduce eye fatigue:

1. Use almond oil daily
Apply a few drops (in moderation) of pure almond oil around the eyes. Massage lightly for about a minute under each eye, in one direction and only with the ring finger. Leave it on for 15 minutes and gently wipe it with a damp cotton.

Almond oil lightens the skin and helps with a uniform tone. It also nourishes the skin under the eyes.

2. Let the cucumber do the work for you
Cucumber is a common remedy for dark circles. Cucumber: juice, slices or grated can be applied around the eyes. Soak the cotton pads in cucumber juice and apply over closed eyes for 15 minutes.

The cucumber will brighten the skin and eliminate any signs of fatigue. Dark circles can also be treated by mixing cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts. Apply the concoction daily and wash it with water after 15 minutes.

3. Milk can also rescue you
It is said that milk minimizes dark circles and nourishes the skin. Soak the cotton pads in cold milk and apply over the eyes. Alternatively, you can clean the skin around the eyes gently with milk-soaked cotton.

Saffron can also lighten your skin. Soak some strands of saffron in cold milk. Then apply the milk with cotton around the eyes. Wash with running water after 20 minutes.

4. Rely on rose water
Rose water also helps brighten the area under the eyes and reduce signs of fatigue. Take some cotton and make two thick square pads. Soak them in cold rose water. Lie down, close your eyes and place the soaked pads on them. Keep them for about 15 minutes.

5. Welcome aloe vera gel in your product arsenal

It is said that aloe vera gel revitalizes the skin. It is ideal for sensitive skin around the eyes. It moisturizes the skin and reduces dark circles for a period of time. It also softens and nourishes the skin. Apply the gel under the eyes and let it act for 10 minutes. Then lightly massage with your fingers and wash it with cold water.
